Generalizing rigid-foldable tubular structures of T-hedral type

چکیده

We introduce an alternative way of constructing continuous flexible tubes and tubular structures based on a discrete, semi-discrete smooth construction surfaces known as T-hedra in the discrete case profile-affine setting, respectively. The geometric understanding this method enables us to generalize with rigid-foldability extend isometric deformation. This achievement implies unified treatment structures, like metamaterials composed tubes, it is base for deeper study zipper their generalization. Moreover, we discuss potential application presented design foldable bridges.
